She was honored at the Illinois State Board of Education’s 52nd Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet, where more than 500 educators, school leaders, support personnel, and community members from across the state were recognized for their dedication and impact.
Ms. Martinez-Voigt received the distinguished title of 2026 Outstanding Early Career Educator of the Year—a well-deserved honor that reflects her passion, creativity, and commitment to our students every single day.

As temperatures start to rise, we know students are excited to dress for the nicer weather! This is a great time to share a quick reminder about our elementary school dress code so all students can stay comfortable, appropriate, and ready to learn.
According to our handbook, the following items are not permitted for students of any age:
See-through clothing (including football-style jerseys without a shirt underneath)
Clothing that shows undergarments (including pants worn below the waist)
Revealing tops (cleavage or midriff), halter tops, spaghetti straps, tube tops, low-cut tops, or sports bras worn as tops
Shirts with sleeves removed
Short skirts, shorts, or dresses
Spandex shorts, leggings, or yoga pants unless covered by a shirt or another pair of shorts
Clothing that advertises tobacco, alcohol, or drugs
Clothing with offensive words, phrases, or graphics (ethnic, profane, or sexual)
Gang-related or gang look-a-like clothing or accessories
Hats, caps, bandannas, or scarves worn inside the building (including stocking caps)
Sunglasses inside the building unless prescribed by a doctor
Students who are not in dress code will be required to alter their attire.

Class of 2026 - Mr. Tomcsanyi Trades Scholarship Application is available for students planning a career in the trades. The application is due April 30. It has been emailed to all Seniors, posted on the school website under Scholarships and is available in folders outside of the counselor's office.
